The Affiliate Acquisition tab answers two questions: where are my new affiliates coming from, and are they actually getting set up once they join? You’ll find it as the second tab in your Analytics area. Everything on this tab reflects the time period and filters you’ve chosen at the top of the page.

Choose a metric

At the top of the tab is one large number with a chart underneath it. Use the dropdown on the right to switch between the two metrics:
  • Affiliate sign ups — how many new affiliates joined your program in the period.
  • Portal page visits — how many times people viewed your affiliate sign-up and portal pages, whether or not they went on to join.
Looking at the two together tells you how much interest your program is attracting and how much of that interest turns into actual affiliates.

Compare to the last period

Below the big number is a percentage with “from last period” next to it, comparing your current total to the period right before it. Green means it went up, red means it went down — a quick read on whether your recruitment is speeding up or slowing down.

See where affiliates come from

Below the chart, the Affiliate source card breaks your sign ups and visits down by how each affiliate found you. Sources include:
  • Your affiliate sign-up page, where people apply directly.
  • The Referly Marketplace, where affiliates discover your program.
  • Referring websites, shown by the site that sent them, so you can see which blogs, social platforms, or partners drive the most affiliates.
  • Added by you — affiliates you invited or added by hand, brought in from an import, or signed up through your referral widget.
This tells you which of your recruitment channels is actually working, so you know where to put your effort.

See which countries affiliates come from

Next to it, the Countries card breaks the same metric down by location, so you can see where in the world your affiliates are based. As on the Performance tab, you can click any bar to filter the whole page down to that source or country, or use the Filter button at the top to narrow things further.

Follow the onboarding funnel

Signing up is only the start — you also want new affiliates to finish getting set up so they can start promoting. The Onboarding Funnel at the bottom of the tab shows how many affiliates make it through each step, from first viewing your portal, to signing up, to completing each onboarding step you’ve set. The completion rate in the top-right corner of the card tells you what share made it all the way through. Each step is clickable. Select one and a panel slides in listing exactly which affiliates completed it and which dropped off, along with their clicks, referrals, and revenue. From there you can open any affiliate to follow up with them directly — a practical way to spot people who signed up but stalled before they got going. If the funnel is empty and asks you to enable onboarding, turn on onboarding in your affiliate portal onboarding settings first — the funnel starts tracking once onboarding is set up.
