# Visibility and boosts

> Understand and improve your Referly Marketplace ranking: the visibility score, its five criteria, and how to earn a manual boost with a review or case study.

Publishing your [listing](/docs/help-center/grow/marketplace/listing) gets you into the [Marketplace](/docs/help-center/grow/marketplace/overview) — but *where* you show up in the results is decided by your **visibility score**. A higher score means more impressions, higher placement, and more affiliates finding you. This page explains what the score measures and how to raise it.

## Your visibility score

You'll find your **Marketplace Visibility** score in the listing editor, shown as a gauge from 0 to 100 with a plain-language label. It's your listing's overall strength, and it maps directly to how you rank:

| Score | Label | What it means |
| ------ | -------------------- | ---------------------------- |
| 0–40 | Low visibility | Rarely surfaces in results |
| 40–60 | Fair visibility | Mid-pack ranking |
| 60–80 | Good visibility | Ranks above most listings |
| 80–100 | Excellent visibility | Top-of-marketplace placement |

## What the score is built from

Select the info icon on the visibility card to open the full breakdown. Your position is a weighted blend of five things — proven performance matters most, because real, recent results are the strongest signal that affiliates will do well with you.

| Criterion | Weight | What it measures |
| ------------------------ | ------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Proven performance** | 35% | Real affiliate earnings paid out through your integration in the last 90 days, plus how well clicks convert into sales. |
| **Earning potential** | 25% | How attractive your terms are — commission value, recurring vs one-time payouts, and how long commissions last. |
| **Trust & completeness** | 15% | Whether your program is verified and your listing is fully filled out (logo, cover image, description, body, category, FAQs), plus payout friendliness. |
| **Traction** | 15% | How established you are — active affiliates, marketplace signups, and favorites. |
| **Marketplace demand** | 10% | How browsers engage with your listing — click-through rate on impressions and newsletter appearances. |

## Earn a boost

On top of your organic score, you can earn a **manual boost** that lifts your placement further. From the visibility card, open **Boost your ranking** to see the options.

Boosts are applied by the Referly team after they verify your review or schedule your case study — usually within one to two business days.

<Tip>
A boost amplifies your ranking, but a strong organic score is what keeps you there. Fill out your listing completely and keep real commissions flowing first — then use a boost to climb further.
