# Affiliate managers overview

> Find and contact experienced affiliate program managers on Referly to help grow your program — browse by category and commission rate, view profiles, and reach out.

Running an affiliate program well takes time and know-how. **Affiliate managers** are experienced people and agencies who do exactly that for a living — recruiting affiliates, setting up commissions, and driving growth. Referly's Affiliate Managers directory is where you find one and get in touch, so you can hand off the heavy lifting or bring in an expert when you want to scale faster.

## What an affiliate manager does

An affiliate program manager helps you get more from your program. Depending on who you work with, that can include:

* Recruiting and onboarding the right affiliates and influencers.
* Setting up and tuning your commission structure.
* Keeping affiliates active and motivated.
* Advising on strategy so your program grows steadily.

Think of it as hiring for a role you'd otherwise fill yourself — with someone who's done it many times before.

## Where to find it

Open the **Grow** section in your dashboard sidebar and select **Affiliate Managers**. You'll land on the directory, headed **Affiliate Program Managers**, with tools to search and a grid of managers to browse.

## Browse and filter

The directory can be narrowed down so you reach the right people quickly:

* **Search** by name or keyword to find a specific manager or specialty.
* **Filter by category** to find managers who know your niche.
* **Filter by commission rate** to match managers to your budget and terms.

Each manager appears as a card showing who they are and the categories they specialize in, so you can compare at a glance.

## Contact a manager

When someone looks like a fit, select **View Profile** to open their full page. There you can read more about their experience and how they work, and reach out to start a conversation. From there, you and the manager agree on how you'll work together — Referly connects you; the arrangement is between the two of you.

<Note>
  Contacting affiliate managers is part of Referly's Grow tools. If the directory is locked, your program may need an active marketplace license to use it. See [Marketplace licenses](/docs/help-center/grow/marketplace/licenses).
</Note>

## List yourself as a manager

If you *are* an affiliate manager or agency, you can list yourself in the directory so program owners can find and hire you. This is a natural fit if you're on an agency plan and manage programs for clients. You create a manager listing — much like a [marketplace listing](/docs/help-center/grow/marketplace/listing) — with your specialties and details, and it appears alongside the others for program owners to discover.
